What is your WORTH? Authored By: Crystal Johnson
She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her (Proverbs 3:15 KJV).
As women, we lead hectic lives. We work, whether it is in the house or outside the home. We carry many roles: mother, sister, friend, teacher, counselor, doctor, plumber, maintenance worker and so on…and we still feel that we have no WORTH to us.
Let’s stop and ask ourselves, “Does our worth depend on the kind of job we have, the kind of house we have, the kind of car we have or the number of friends we have on social media? Are we living according to the word of God to obtain favor with him?
Even in our broken lives, when our worth dropped in our eyes, God bent down, reshaped our damaged vessel into a work of His heart and declared, “It is good!” Because we are and always will be have worth to Him.
How much are you worth in God’s eyes? I can answer that question for you…” you are worth more than rubies”. God is an ever-present and approachable God, who lovingly calls us into companionship with him.
I have a 3-fold birthday card given to me from my mother on my 21st birthday and in it she wrote, “I only want the best for you, because I think you deserve it”. I honestly believe God has that same feeling for each one of us, just meditate on his word: For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:13 On the last page she spelled out my name like this, “Christ is Real in Your Soul Today and Always with Love (CRYSTAL). Just Let Him In. Turn it over to Jesus for all that you need is in Him”. This card is so powerful to me and I have to go to it from time to time to help remind me of the Love of God that was introduced to me by my mother.
I leave you with this:“You are indeed a treasure to God, a woman of great worth. Celebrate every year, every day, and every moment of your life in Christ!” This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
Is your worth with people more important than your worth with God?
Heavenly Father, I thank you for showing me my “worth” is in you? I thank you for your guidance over my life. I lift every woman up to you that does not see her “worth” in this world. I ask that you put your loving arms around her to build her up into that strong woman that you formed in her mother’s womb. I pray that we all can be the vessel that another person needs to help them along the way. In your precious son Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
